Description
Mepilex® Ag is a foam dressing for medium exuding chronic or acute wounds like venous leg ulcers or burns, where an antimicrobial action is indicated. According to a recent international experts consensus, antimicrobial action is indicated to help reduce bioburden in infected wounds and to act as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection. Infected wounds are painful wounds that need the best of treatment. Mepilex Ag is a dressing with Safetac® technology, and therefore proven to minimise pain and skin damage at dressing changes. Mepilex Ag is clinically proven to heal burns faster and with less pain and cost compared to silver sulfadiazine.

Mepilex Ag is designed for the management of low to moderately exuding wounds that show signs of infection. Mepilex Ag can be used under compression bandaging.
Mepilex Ag is a soft and highly conformable anti-microbial foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. The Safetac layer seals the wound edges, preventing the exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin, thus minimising the risk for maceration. The Safetac layer ensures that the dressing can be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin or exposing the patient to additional pain.
Mepilex Ag inactivates wound related pathogens within 30 minutes with sustained effect up to 7 days. By reducing the number of microorganisms, Mepilex Ag may also reduce odour.
Use Mepilex Ag:
• When an antimicrobial action is indicated: to reduce bioburden in infected wounds
• When an antimicrobial action is indicated: to act as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection
• To obtain a rapid (after 30 minutes) and sustained (for 7 days) effective antimicrobial effect
• To combine antimicrobial action to a less painful and less stressful care for your patients
Item says it is out of stock, can I still order it? Yes you can still order any item that appears on our website. The item will then be placed on back order, once it arrives into our warehouse, we will ship it out ASAP.
Hardware items? Some hardware items can be customised which is why we don't keep many in our warehouse. If you place an order for one, we will order it in for you and possibly have it shipped directly to you.
Cold chain items must be placed on a separate order from other items as they are shipped separately and have a separate/different freight charge.
This product is a Special Order Item it is non-returnable/refundable and must be ordered in.

Freight will be calculated during checkout. You must list your delivery address as a physical address. We cannot deliver to P.O. boxes etc.
Delivery times (with all items in stock): Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne: ETA 1-2 business days. All other locations 2-3 business days. Freight times are dependant on courier companies.
