  Nationwide Shortage of IV Fluids  

Please be advised there is a nationwide shortage of IV Fluids across all three Australian suppliers (Baxter Healthcare, B.Braun and Fresenius Kabi). 

The shortages are due to multiple factors including global supply limitations, unexpected increases in demand, and manufacturing issues.
We continue to collaborate with the suppliers of Australian-registered IV fluid products to monitor the situation and provide necessary updates when possible.

At this moment, we have been advised that supply will continue to be constrained throughout 2024.

We understand the impact this situation may have and want to assure you that we are doing our utmost to address it. We will continue to update you if  there are any changes to this communication.
